This is the first of two e-learning courses covering this subject and is based on guideline 67 from the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (or NICE) which was published in March 2017. This first course focusses on the medicine-related processes which social care providers need to consider in relation to medicines use.

The second course also supports the implementation of NICE guideline 67 Managing medicines for adults receiving social care in the community and focuses on the practical issues relating to the provision of medicines administration support by domiciliary care providers. The course demonstrates the administration of solid dose forms, liquids, eye drops, inhalers, transdermal patches and topical products.
